It’s time for this week’s #ThankfulThursday! Thank you to the members of the Keith Urban fan club for their special donation to the children at our shelter! For 14 years, members of Keith Urban’s fan club have delivered thousands of monkeys to children who are sick, hospitalized, or underprivileged in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
Last year, over 4,100 new stuffed monkeys were collected from 38 U.S. states and 9 countries. Their hopes are to spread joy on Valentine’s Day! Thank you for bringing a smile to children all around the world and for the children at our shelter!
In 2006, Keith Moody had a campaign where he urged his fans to get involved or volunteer in their communities. That 1st year, Keith’s fan club, called The Ville, collected 53 monkeys and their numbers have increased almost every year since. Today, they have 30 collection homes across the U.S., Australia and Canada. Each of their collection points deliver the monkeys every Valentine’s Day to children’s hospitals near them.
