Homelessness can happen to anyone… The majority of people that we serve never saw it coming – the loss of a job, death of a spouse, domestic violence, a serious illness, or a partner walking away from their family leaving little to no support. Help change a life today with a Gift of Hope Donation! Your contribution will enable HOS to provide basic necessities to women, children, and individuals who are experiencing homelessness, such as housing, food and clothing!

In fiscal year 2023 alone, your support directly impacted the lives of over 649 individuals and helped an additional 1,300+ individuals through phone referrals to community resources. This is your chance to help these families and individuals lift themselves out of the cycle of homelessness, domestic violence and other issues that led them to HOS. Thank you for your generosity! Gift of HOPE

Gift of OPPORTUNITY

Provide homeless women & children with basic needs as they move into the shelter or move out into their own housing. This gives them the Opportunity to focus their time on achieving self-sufficiency, knowing that their basic needs are met. Donations from the Shelter Needs Wish List can be dropped off at our office address at 1991 Duncan Place, Woodstock IL 60098, by Thursday, 12/29/23 (Please note that we encourage donations to be dropped off BEFORE Christmas. 12/29/23 is the final date that we will accept holiday donations).

Gift of SUPPORT

We are asking donors to purchase Gift Cards for each family member in our programs this year, allowing women to shop for their children online.

By adopting a mother or child in our program, you will provide much-needed Support during the holidays! You can mail or drop off gift cards to our office at 1991 Duncan Place, Woodstock, IL 60098 by 12/8/23

Each Giving Tree will have paper ornaments with items of need from HOS’s Shelter Needs Wish List. Donors can select as many ornaments as they’d like.

Please return gift cards & new items UNWRAPPED & in original packaging to the Giving Tree of which the selected ornament was picked from by 12/29/23. Please note that we encourage donations to be dropped off BEFORE Christmas, but 12/29/23 is the final date that we will accept holiday donations.
