It’s Thankful Thursday and we are so thankful to Angela, a local Girl Scout, who created 100 Kids in Crisis Care Packages for her Gold Award Project to benefit the children at Home of the Sparrow!
For this project, Angela surveyed the community, identified a need and created a plan. She then did presentations in the community, visited local businesses and held a fundraiser to secure lots of donations. Angela then sorted and organized the donations, and gathered friends and family to help her assemble the care packages by age and gender. The contents are focused on three pillars – Comfort, Entertainment and Friendship Building, and also include a personal note of encouragement!
The children are going to be so excited to receive these wonderful packages filled with love. We are so incredibly grateful to Angela for choosing to help the children at Home of the Sparrow. Thank you for making a difference in our community!
