Holiday Gift Program, Adopt-a-Family, & Holiday Giving Trees 2021

Help Homeless women & children in our community this Holiday Season through our Holiday Gift Program which includes Adopt-a-Family and our Holiday Giving Trees which will be located at Home of the Sparrow’s 7 Thrift Stores and local community businesses!

Provide homeless women & children with basic needs as they move into the shelter or move out into their own housing. This gives them the Opportunity to focus their time on achieving self-sufficiency, knowing that their basic needs are met. Donations from the Shelter Needs Wish List can be dropped off at our office address at 4209 W. Shamrock Lane, Unit B, McHenry, IL 60050, by 12/30/21.

Due to COVID-19, we are asking donors to purchase Gift Cards for each family member this year, which will allow the women to shop for their children online. You can mail or drop them off at our office address at 4209 W. Shamrock Lane, Unit B, McHenry, IL 60050, by 12/9/21.

Give back this holiday & help homeless women & children in our community! Home of the Sparrow’s Holiday Giving Trees will be located at the 6 Sparrow’s Nest Thrift Stores, Community Threads, and various local businesses. Each Giving Tree will have paper ornaments with items of need from HOS’s Shelter Needs Wish List. Donors can select as many ornaments as they’d like, then return gift cards & new items unwrapped & in original packaging to the Giving Tree of which the selected ornament was picked from by Thursday, December 30th , 2021.
